On the second day of the committee appointed by the Supreme Council of Universities to inspect the branch of Alexandria university continued its work and  received by Dr. Mohamed Ismail Vice President for Matrouh Branch Affairs.
The committee consisting of Dr. Moawad Al-Khouly, President of Menoufia University, Dr. Majid Al-Qamri, President of Kafr El-Sheikh University and Dr. Ahmed Abdu Jaeis, President of Assiut University also met with Major General Alaa Abu Zeid, Governor of Matrouh, to discuss all human and material resources and study the status of the facilities of the faculties of the branch and the new university building in Kilo 9 so that the committee can submit a full report on the branch and present it to the Supreme Council of Universities in In preparation for the independence of the branch from the University of Alexandria as Matrouh  University .
The committee reviewed the development projects in Matrouh governorate and the state's direction to continue the efforts of developing the remote and most needy areas within the framework of the development project in western Egypt and its new development horizons and thousands of job opportunities.
And the importance of an independent university serving students and people to complete the development of integrated models with full facilities and services.
