Dr. Hesham Abdel Dayem, Dean of the National Liver Institute, inaugurated the 1^st  conference of the Department of Pediatrics, Gastroenterology and Nutrition in Pediatric Medicine  in the presence of Dr. Ahmed El Shaarawy, Dean of the Institute and former Governor of Dakahlia, Dr. Gasser El Azab, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Dr. Mohamed El Gendy , chairman of the Egyptian Society for Pediatrics  and Dr. Nassif Hefnawi and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Menoufia.

The conference held under the patronage of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qased, Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Hisham Abdel Dayem, Dean of the Institute, Dr. Hanaa Elaraby, Head of the Department and headed by Dr. Nermin Al-Adawi ,the conference  organized by Professional Company for Organizing Conferences.
