Yesterday, the Council for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs in Menoufia University held its 8th session in 2019/2020 through video conference, headed by Dr. Ahmed Farag Elkased, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and supervisor of the Community Service sector with the participation of members of the committee and faculty for Community Service and Environment Development, and Director General of Community Service and Development Environment.
The session started with follow-up to its implementation of resolutions, and the committee discussed the agenda of the session and the activity of the sector during the last month, including seminars and convoys organized by the sector on combating and preventing Corona virus before mid-March.
Alkased clarified that the committee reviewed the university's activity in serving the society in cooperation with the executive authorities and the services departments in the governorate in all fields, especially in facing Koruna virus, and the awareness campaigns through social media by the community service sectors of the university to reduce the spread of the virus and reduce the number of infections.
Alkased added that electronic guided and awareness convoys were established including an agricultural extension convoy in addition to preparing to establish an electronic home clinic to respond to inquiries of poultry farmers' owners, animals and animal breeders, and preparing to establish an electronic legal clinic.
He also praised the experience of university hospitals in the establishment of electronic clinics to reduce the attendance of outpatient clinics and to provide medical advice for non-emergency cases.
The Vice President of the University called on the faculty vices dean to encourage faculty members and scholars in the colleges to register patents, register the idea of invention in the university communications office, and introduce the researchers to the tasks of the communication office and communicate with it.
