The Faculty of Electronic Engineering, Menoufia University, got the best project from the Academy of Scientific Research, out of 3 projects only at the university level and the submitted project came under the title The Smart rehabilitation Robot, under the auspices of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of the University and Dr. Ayman El-Sayed Emira, Dean of the College.

The project aims to assist stroke and muscular atrophy patients in the process of physical therapy and restore movement to the limbs again through an intelligent robot where the patient places the hand or the foot and the robot performs certain movements according to the physiotherapy protocol by designing different games that the patient moves to control the game At the same time, he performs certain movements that contribute to the process of his recovery, and the project also facilitates the patient to do these exercises because he is portable, so he can perform these exercises at home or anywhere without going to the physical therapy center and through a server and a special site through which the specialist doctor monitors the health condition of the patient And signals the development of each muscle and the choice of training style of movement for the game through several systems.

The project came under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Al-Najjar in the Control Department and Dr. Marwa Shoman in the Computer Department The team work consisted of students from the Department of Automation and Industrial Electronics: Mahmoud Hani Abdel-Malek, Muhammad Munir Muhammad, Muhammad Ayman Abbas, Samar Samir Abdel-Haq, Asma Saeed Abdul-Ghani, Amal Ahmad Muhammad, Rehab Hisham Al-Suri.
