Dr. AbdulRahman Al-Bagouri, Vice President of The University of Menoufia for Community Service and Environmental Development, opened the first day of the training course on "The basics of solar energy work and ways of implementing it" under the auspices of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of the University, as part of the university's keenness to spread the culture of solar energy production and use as an important, essential and clean source of the environment.

In his speech, Al-Bagauri pointed out the importance of using solar energy because it is clean and renewable energy in all fields, stressing the university's efforts to rely on solar energy as an alternative energy for electricity in all its facilities in the near future, adding that the university will hold a series of training courses on the basics of the work of solar cells and how to implement them in order to advance development and development.

Dr. Magdi Abu Ghazala, Director of the Center for New and Renewable Energy Research at Menoufia University and supervisor of the course, pointed out that the training activities will continue for three consecutive days and discussed on its first day the types of new and renewable energies and the basics and importance of solar power plants and how to implement them and types of photovoltite plants and renewable and sustainable energy.Abu Ghazala added that the training course is attended by a group of consultants and experts in new and renewable energy, namely Dr. Salah Arafa, professor at the American University, an expert in renewable and sustainable energy, Dr. Salah Ibrahim, expert on new and renewable energy, Dr. Abla Abdul Muti, new energy consultant and chairman of the training committee of the Union of Engineers, Dr. Jaber Asar, professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Menoufia and expert on new and renewable energy, Hatem Al Roumi, Chairman of (Triple M), Dr. Adel Abu Alala, former Dean of The Faculty of Engineering of Shabin Al-Kum, new and renewable energy expert, Dr. Abbas Radi, consultant of solar plants, and Dr. Salah Ibrahim, expert on new and renewable energy.

The opening was attended by a group of deans, agents and professors of colleges and the seminar was moderated by Dr. Hassan Khattab, Undersecretary of the Faculty of Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development.
