The General Administration of Community Service and Environmental Development organized an awareness seminar on the dangers of terrorism and extremist ideology, this morning in the conference hall of the university administration.

Under the auspices of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University, under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Rahman El-Bagoury, the university president’s advisor for community service and environmental development, Dr. Hassan Khattab, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the rapporteur of the symposium, Dr. Mahmoud Fawzy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service, lectured and environmental development.

The symposium started its activities with a welcoming speech by Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Bagouri, in which he stressed the importance of the symposium as it sheds light on a vital and urgent topic that calls for the rapid developments and the escalating challenges in recent years in our Arab region in particular, and the world in general, which he addressed with focus, seriousness and depth in line with global efforts to combat extremism and terrorism. , which have become a global transnational threat,

The symposium talked about the importance of the educational sector to be an integral part, rather a pivotal part, in confronting extremist ideology and the intrigues of evil and dark forces that do not stop their attempts to infiltrate educational institutions in the region and spread their poison in the minds and hearts of our children and our children and young adults.

The symposium emphasized the role of traditional and modern media to combat terrorism and extremist ideology, through the use of its written, audio and visual means, in addition to social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and others by spreading the danger of terrorism to the true religion. It rejects terrorism and intellectual extremism in all its forms and images, and urges tolerance and acceptance of the other.
