Climate change causes and repercussions in a symposium at Menoufia University

The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Menoufia University, under the auspices of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of the University, and Dr. Abdel Rahman El-Bagouri, Advisor to the President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, organized a scientific and educational symposium on “Climate Changes, Causes and Repercussions” in cooperation with the Egyptian Association for the Advancement of Women and Children headed by Dr. Lubni Negm, Chairman The administration of the association and the supervision of Dr. Hassan Eleiwa, the rapporteur of the symposium and the vice-dean of the Faculty of Science, Menoufia University, for community service and environmental development affairs.

 

 

In his speech, El-Bagoury drew attention to the climatic fluctuations that Egypt and the world are witnessing in recent times, and this imposed on us the need to study and discuss the causes and repercussions of this climatic phenomenon, which has economic, political, social and environmental impacts that affect society. Therefore, quick solutions must be found to limit climate changes and reduce global warming. Thermal.

 

Dr. Awad Moussa, Professor in the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts, Menoufia University, talked about solar radiation and terrestrial radiation that cause an increase in temperature. He also elaborated on the definition of climate, climate changes, climate variability and global warming and the difference between them, pointing out that what we are experiencing is climate variability, stressing that global warming is man-made. His daily behavior, adding that changing the tilt of the Earth's axis and the Earth's orbit causes climate change.

Eliwa pointed out that temperature changes have many negative effects, citing examples of increased temperatures that may lead to melting ice and the occurrence of floods in countries and drought in other countries, so we must put our hands on the causes, whether natural or human, to face the challenges of climate change

Dr. Lubni, head of the association, stressed that the association always seeks to confront any phenomenon that threatens the security and safety of women and children and seeks to advance Egyptian women and raise children in a sound manner and create a conscious generation to push the development locomotive.
