Menoufia University participated in the Smart City Hackathon at Benha University in the field of smart recycling under the patronage of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University, and Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.

Where the university won first place at the level of the Egyptian universities participating in the field of energy conservation and saving, where the university received an award worth five thousand Egyptian pounds provided by El Sewedy Electric Company.

The honoring at Benha University was attended by Dr. Osama Abdel Raouf, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, representing Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University.

The Menoufia University team also received a check presented by Amazon for $3,000 in vouchers from Amazon, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of Student Welfare. The delegation was also supervised by Mohamed Fadali, and the implementation of Mervat Arafa, Director of the Scientific Activity Department at the university.

The participating team consisted of students from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Menouf, and they are (Ahmed Magdy Abdel Wahab, Mohamed Abu Bakr, Mohamed Hany Abdel Zaher, Abdel Khaleq Magdy Abdel Khaleq, Mohamed Sami Al-Wakeel) in the fourth year of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Menouf.

The Director General of Student Welfare also thanked Dr. Ayman Amira, Dean of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Menouf, and Saeed Kabuh, Director General of Student Welfare at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Menouf, for the constant support of the scientific activity management at the university.
