Under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University, and Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, a number of international students and their Egyptian colleagues at Menoufia University participated in the second Peoples’ Week at Assiut University, which extended from Wednesday, March 23 Until Sunday, March 28, 2022.

The delegation is under the supervision of Dr. Salwa Fouad, General Coordinator of the Department of Expatriates at the university, Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, accompanied by Mohamed Khattab, Director of the Department of Social Activity and Trips and the supervisor of the delegation.

Peoples Week comes within the framework of the awareness-building program, spreading moderate thought, rejecting extremism and combating terrorism, which was launched by the university in support of the efforts of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic in this regard. A crowd of international students from more than 20 Arab and foreign nationalities, with the participation of prominent figures in various fields, where the first day, Wednesday, included the opening of the forum, with the participation of the executive, popular, security and religious leaders, and with the participation of Dr. With the participation of folk arts teams from Sudan and Congo, followed in the evening by a session of social cohesion in the face of extremism and terrorism, and then a people's party, which includes artistic paragraphs expressing the cultures and arts of the people participating in the forum.

A large number of political, media and artistic personalities also participated in the forum, including Ambassador Mohamed Al-Orabi, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mahmoud Bakri, a Senator, Mustafa Bakri, a Member of Parliament, the artist Ali El-Haggar and Tariq Desouky.
