Under the patronage and support of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University, and Dr. Haitham Maimon Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the university, two and a half million Egyptian pounds were approved by the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF), to finance a research project aimed at testing preventive treatments against Alzheimer's disease, which has become a major focus In many researches, due to the difficulty of its harmful effects on patients and society.

Dr. Esraa Muslim (the principal researcher and representative of the research team), biochemistry teacher at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Menoufia University, confirmed that she will strive with the help of the research team to complete the project according to the contract and within the agreed time period, implement the research objectives in practice, and strive to publish the research results in scientific journals with impact factor. High, in addition to providing the Faculty of Pharmacy, Menoufia University, with the necessary equipment to conduct the agreed-upon research.

It is worth mentioning that the research team consists of an elite of researchers from various fields of pharmacy, they are Dr. Hind El-Sayed Abu Mansour, a biochemistry teacher at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Menoufia University (Assistant Principal Investigator), who expressed her happiness with the research team’s victory in light of the strong competition to obtain distinguished research funding that serves the research. It enhances the role of the college in achieving the objectives of the research plan of Menoufia University, and it also affirmed its keenness to adhere to the project’s time plan to achieve its objectives.

And Dr. Hani Abul-Fath Muhammad, teacher of pharmaceutical analytical chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Menoufia University (member of the project), who emphasized his support and cooperation with all members of the project and the analysis of the drugs under study using modern pharmaceutical analytical methods and using nanoparticles.

Dr. Aya Al-Bari is a teacher of molecular biology at the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Science, Menoufia University, who plays an active role in the practical application of the project through her distinguished experience in genetics and genetics.

Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of the University, expressed his happiness with this achievement to implement the project in an attempt to limit the effects of Alzheimer’s disease and strive to serve the community and its compatibility with the health axis in the National Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2030.
