- Allow me at the outset to extend my sincere congratulations to His Excellency the President / Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi - President of the Republic, and to all the students of Menoufia University, and I also extend my congratulations to the Coptic brothers, on the new Gregorian year, praying to the Almighty God to preserve our dear Egypt under the leadership and care of His Excellency the President / Abdel Fattah Sisi.

- My sincere thanks and appreciation for your honoring us today at the ancient University of Menoufia to celebrate this majestic edifice and its achievements, and to honor many of your presence in various fields within the celebrations of the forty-sixth anniversary of Menoufia University.

- The successive efforts of the students of Menoufia University up to the present time and the coordination between the different sectors of work embody for us the distinguished level that our university has reached and a high position among universities. Menoufia University now includes (23) faculties and institutes, after the University of Sadat City and the Menoufia National University came out of them.

- The number of students at Menoufia University has now reached nearly (88) thousand male and female students, with a steady increase that has exceeded (60%) over the last five years.

At the postgraduate level, the number of students reached about (22) thousand male and female students, with an increase of nearly (40%). It shows the status and weight of Menoufia University, and its pioneering role in the heart of the governorate.

- Allow me to briefly present to you a selection of the achievements of the University of Menoufia, and it does not in any way fulfill all that has been achieved on the ground, but it is an anthology that gives an indication of the size of the achievements made by its sons with their efforts, sincerity and dedication day after day, so that your university has become a beacon shining in the sky Our dear Egypt.

- Over the past years, we had begun planning for the implementation of three huge strategic projects that represented far-fetched dreams, but thanks to God, the determination of the loyal university students, and the sincere political will, headed by His Excellency the President of the Republic, these dreams were realized and became a tangible reality on the land of Menoufia University.

- The dream of opening the Menoufia National University at Kilo 70 on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road, which we initially envisioned in 2018, then continued hard work until the issuance of the Presidential Decree this year 2022 to establish the Menoufia National University, in which studies began this year.

- The dream of establishing the Menoufia University Medical City was also realized, a project that will provide integrated health care to the people of Menoufia Governorate in particular and the Delta in general. The foundation stone for this integrated medical edifice was laid on August 27 of this year, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, marking the start of the immediate implementation of this giant project.

- The dream of allocating a horizontal back with an area of (200 acres) for the University of Menoufia was realized by the system of transferring assets in the lands of Sadat City, where the approval of His Excellency the President of the Republic was issued on September 14 of this year, and the plan will include an extension of the National University, the establishment of new colleges, a technological university, and lands for cultivation desert and non-traditional areas, student housing, a sports complex, a research center, and (6) specialized medical centers.

We also had achievements this year in various sectors and fields. I summarize glimpses of them here, but not all of them.

In the medical sector, the number of cases admitted to university hospitals and the National Liver Institute this year alone amounted to more than (260) thousand patients in various specialties, in addition to conducting about (600) liver transplant operations so far. The General Administration of Medical Affairs also provided medical services to university students at a total cost of (31 million pounds) to (121 thousand students) over three years.

- Also, the hospitals of the Faculty of Medicine started to be automated and included in the first phase, which includes five Egyptian universities. In addition, a new technique for the treatment of uterine tumors using the radiotherapy device was used for the first time in the university hospitals. The first specialized intensive care unit for stroke patients was opened.

We have also introduced (31) programs for the credit hours system so far in the various faculties and institutes of the university.

- Menoufia University has had a prominent role in national initiatives such as a decent life, which was launched by His Excellency President / Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to meet the needs of the poorest villages, as more than (100) various caravans were organized for the villages of the governorate, with a total of about 55 thousand beneficiaries.

- The university also participated strongly in the national project for literacy and adult education and the implementation of the “Village Without Illiteracy” initiative for the villages of a decent life in the Martyrs and Ashmoun centers, where it should be noted that, to date, nearly (13) thousand citizens have been erased from illiteracy by male and female students at Menoufia University.

- The presidential initiative "Able to be Different" was also launched at Menoufia University to celebrate the Day of Challenge with People of Determination.

- In the field of digital transformation towards a smart university, we have worked to develop the university's digital infrastructure, localize applications of management information systems, the electronic portal and electronic payment, and activate a distinguished e-learning platform capable of providing all forms of education and examinations to all university students, especially the medical sector, including the activation Thinqi platform of the Supreme Council of Universities. Hence, the university's e-learning center was created with the aim of employing e-learning resources and integrating them into the learning process.

- In terms of the university's local and international classification, most of the scientific periodicals of the university's colleges and institutes obtained the maximum score in the classification of the Supreme Council of Universities. Menoufia University also entered the Leiden classification for the first time, issued on June 22, 2022, as the university ranked (25) in Africa and (25) in Africa. 1104) globally in the Dutch classification.

In the field of quality and institutional accreditation, the ISO 9001/2015 certificate was renewed for both the General Secretariat of the University and the Quality Assurance Center in 2022. The Faculties of Specific Education and Home Economics were also accredited this year.

- With regard to linking the university with industry and community issues, a unit has been established to survey and study various societal problems, prepare its regulations and have it approved by the Ministry of Finance. There are also many agreements in this regard with the Egyptian Space Agency, the New and Renewable Energy Utilization Development Authority, and El-Araby Group of Companies.

- The university also had great interest in the field of supporting and caring for our children of determination, as a protocol was signed with the Egyptian Coptic Society to implement several accessibility projects in university buildings, and (81) integrated caravans for people of determination were implemented, with a total of (2160) beneficiaries. The university also organized the Egypt Cup for Goalball and the Egypt Cup for Athletics for People of Determination this year.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that these are quick flashes of some of the achievements of our ancient university, as there is not enough time to list them all, but they are available on the university's website.

- This majestic edifice, with its distinguished services in all fields, has attained this high status thanks to the dedication of its loyal sons, headed by all the former presidents of Menoufia University. Persons and positions pass away, but history remains a witness to achievement, pointing to the sincere efforts of its loyal sons. Everyone contributed to his position with love and devotion for the elevation of our university, Menoufia University, the shining beacon in the heart of the Delta.

Here, I extend my sincere thanks to His Excellency Major General / Ibrahim Abu Lemon - Governor of Menoufia for his full support and fruitful cooperation with the university. I also extend my thanks and appreciation to all the security, oversight, executive and community agencies of the governorate, each in his position for the full support they provide at all levels and in all locations to Menoufia University in order to achieve the success that we all seek.

- I also extend special thanks to all the sons of Menoufia University, including leaders, faculty members, administrative staff, students, and workers for their sincere efforts and dedication to work in a team spirit in order to raise the status and value of Menoufia University at all levels.

Once again, I welcome all of you to your permanent home, Menoufia University, which we celebrate today on its annual feast. How much will Menoufia University remain a shining beacon in the sky of our beloved Egypt?
