Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced that the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education has issued its decision accrediting the Distinguished Bachelor Program in Medicine and General Surgery under the Credit Hour System (5+2) at the Faculty of Medicine. This achievement represents a new addition to the university’s distinguished record of success in the field of quality assurance and academic accreditation, following the renewal of the Faculty of Medicine’s accreditation for the second time by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.

The University President affirmed that this accomplishment comes within the framework of the university’s strategy aimed at developing the educational process and enhancing the level of academic programs according to the latest national and international standards. This contributes to preparing graduates who possess the scientific competence and professional skills necessary to compete locally, regionally, and internationally, while strengthening Menoufia University’s position among distinguished Egyptian universities.

Prof. El-Kased pointed out that the accreditation of the distinguished program at the Faculty of Medicine is the result of cooperation and collective teamwork among the faculty administration, faculty members, administrative staff, and the Quality Assurance Unit. He extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the faculty administration under the leadership of Prof. Mohamed El-Nomany, Dean of the Faculty, as well as the vice deans, faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and students for their sincere efforts and dedicated work that contributed to achieving this honorable accomplishment. He affirmed that the Faculty of Medicine presents a distinguished model of commitment to quality standards and continuous development.

The University President also expressed his appreciation to the team of the University Quality Assurance Center under the leadership of Prof. Wafaa Zahran, Director of the Center, in recognition of their outstanding efforts in supporting and developing the quality assurance and accreditation system and for their effective role in enhancing academic and administrative performance and advancing the university’s journey toward excellence and institutional accreditation.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased expressed his happiness with achieving this accomplishment in conjunction with the university’s celebrations of its Golden Jubilee and the fiftieth anniversary of its establishment. He emphasized that the successive successes achieved by the university in the field of quality assurance and accreditation reflect the magnitude of efforts exerted by all university sectors and the continuous support for developing academic programs and implementing comprehensive quality standards.

He further affirmed that the Faculty of Medicine is one of the university’s leading faculties, possessing a distinguished academic and scientific history and playing a prominent role in preparing qualified medical cadres according to the latest educational systems. The faculty is also keen on the continuous development of academic programs and the enhancement of the educational, research, and clinical training systems in line with modern developments in medical education and labor market requirements.

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased also confirmed that Menoufia University continues implementing its ambitious vision toward completing the accreditation of all faculties and academic programs within the framework of a comprehensive strategic plan aimed at promoting a culture of quality and institutional excellence across all university sectors. He noted that the university has made significant progress in this field and is strongly pursuing institutional accreditation for the university as a whole, reflecting the level of development witnessed by the university in various academic, administrative, and research fields and supporting the Egyptian state’s direction toward improving the quality of university education.
