Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced that the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education has issued its decision approving the institutional accreditation of the Faculty of Engineering, in addition to the accreditation of the interdisciplinary program “Electrical Engineering and Computers.” This comes within the framework of the university’s continuous efforts to support the quality assurance and academic accreditation system and achieve institutional excellence according to national and international standards.

The University President extended his congratulations to the Faculty of Engineering family, praising the outstanding efforts exerted by Prof. Mohamed Saafan, Dean of the Faculty, faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and students, which resulted in this achievement. He affirmed that obtaining accreditation for both the faculty and the interdisciplinary program reflects the continuous development of the educational and research process at the university and enhances graduates’ ability to compete in the labor market locally and internationally.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased pointed out that the university attaches great importance to the quality assurance and accreditation file, especially with the declaration of the academic year 2025/2026 as the “Year of Quality and Government Excellence” at Menoufia University, coinciding with the university’s celebration of its Golden Jubilee. He explained that the university is moving rapidly toward completing the accreditation of all faculties and academic programs in support of the Egyptian state’s vision and the higher education development plan. He also praised the efforts of the University Quality Assurance Center under the supervision of Prof. Wafaa Zahran, Director of the Center, and the center’s work team.

The University President added that the Faculty of Engineering at Menoufia University is one of the leading faculties with a distinguished academic and scientific history, as it includes a distinguished group of faculty members and researchers. The faculty is keen on continuously developing its academic programs, laboratories, and infrastructure in line with the latest engineering and technological systems. He further noted that the faculty contributes to supporting scientific research and community service and preparing qualified graduates capable of competition, innovation, and meeting the needs of the local and regional labor market.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased also affirmed that the accreditation of the interdisciplinary “Electrical Engineering and Computers” program represents a strong addition to modern academic programs that keep pace with technological developments, the requirements of the industrial revolution, and digital transformation by preparing qualified engineering cadres with advanced skills in electrical engineering, computer science, and smart applications.

The University President concluded his statements by emphasizing that this achievement represents a new step in Menoufia University’s journey toward leadership and academic excellence and reflects the success of the university’s continuous development plans aimed at advancing the quality of education and scientific research.
