Menoufia University team achieved first place in the first Pentabul championship for Egyptian universities, which was organized by Suez Canal University in cooperation with the Egyptian Universities Sports Federation, where Menoufia University participated in the tournament under the patronage of Dr. Dr. Muhammad Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration for the Care of Young Adults, Captain Yasser Kamal, Director of Sports Activity at the University, and Captain Moataz Younes, Head of Sports Activity.

Menoufia University won the championship cup after defeating Deraya group with a 2/3 victory, then overcoming the Suez Canal obstacle by winning 1/2 before meeting Sinai University in the final and winning 3/2 on penalties.

The formation of the Menoufia University team in the game included Captain Khaled Tolba, the head of the delegation, Captain Mahmoud Darwish as a supervisor, and the players Ahmed Mohamed Ta’elb in grade 3, the Faculty of Engineering, Shebin, and Youssef Alaa El-Din in grade 2, the Faculty of Agriculture, Ahmed Tarek in grade 3, the Faculty of Commerce, and Mahmoud Abu Shanab, in grade 4, the Faculty of Physical Education and Amr Othman grade 4.
