In a rapid response to the regional accident that occurred today near the village of Manshiyat al-Qanater in Giza Governorate, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, directed the assignment of an integrated medical team from university hospitals, including senior consultants in various medical specialties, to immediately assist the medical staff at al-Bagour General Hospital in providing examinations, follow-up, and necessary medical support to those injured in the collision between two microbuses on the regional road. The injured were transported to al-Bagour General Hospital, where the medical team, under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Al-Noamani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, immediately headed to al-Bagour General Hospital to provide the necessary medical support to the injured and to determine their need for surgical interventions or transfer them to Menoufia University hospitals, if necessary. This is part of the university's community-based role and to enhance its ongoing cooperation with Menoufia Governorate in responding to crises and emergencies.
The university president emphasized that this action stems from the university's commitment to its national and humanitarian role in serving the community, and in implementation of the political leadership's directives to integrate efforts among various national institutions in confronting crises. He emphasized that university hospitals, with all their capabilities and staff, are at the disposal of the governorate's residents in such humanitarian situations. He emphasized the university hospitals' 24-hour readiness to receive critical cases and provide the best treatment and care.
He pointed out that the medical team includes several doctors and consultants in emergency medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, and anesthesia, ensuring the highest level of healthcare services to the injured and rapid intervention in critical cases.
The university president expressed his sincere wishes for a speedy recovery for all those injured, offering his condolences to the families of the victims, and emphasizing that the university spares no effort in harnessing all its capabilities to contribute to alleviating suffering, within the framework of cooperation and integration with the Menoufia Governorate, the Health Directorate, and all relevant authorities.
