Faculty of Specific Education at Menoufia University

For the bachelor and postgraduate levels

Article (1): College Objectives: The University's College of Quality Education works to achieve the following goals:

1) Preparing holders of high school diplomas and their level for the teaching profession in pre-university education stages in one of the specializations according to the academic divisions of the college.

2) Raise the professional and scientific level of students in the specialized fields in the college and introduce them to contemporary educational trends in the field of specialization.

3) Conducting research and studies in the various fields of specialization in the college.

4) Exchanging experiences and information with Egyptian, Arab and international educational and cultural bodies and institutions, and cooperating with them in addressing issues of common concern.

5) Providing technical advice in various fields of specialization.

6) Contributing to the development of thought and practice in the areas of the college's objectives for serving the environment.

Article (2): The Academic Departments of the College: The college consists of the following departments:

1) Home Economics Department.

2) Department of Art Education.

3) Department of Music Education.

4) Department of Educational Technology.

5) Department of Educational Media. In its two branches (School Theater - Press, Radio and Television, in education

6) The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, which includes (curricula and teaching methods in the areas of specialization in the college)

Article (4): Academic Degrees: The university grants, upon the faculties ’request, the following degrees:

1) A bachelor's degree in specific education in one of the academic departments and divisions of the college.

2) The diploma from one of the academic divisions of the college.

3) A master's degree in specific education in one of the scientific specializations in the college. 4) As for educational and psychological sciences - with the exception of curricula and methods of teaching the major, the master’s degree in it comes from the Faculties of Education. Article (5) As for the master's or doctoral degree in educational and psychological sciences, with the exception of (curricula and methods of teaching the subject), it is done in the Faculties of Education, provided that the learner is supervised by a faculty member from the College of Specific Education, if any. Article

(6) The university may, upon a request from the College Board, grant these degrees in other disciplines required for development in accordance with the provisions of the Universities Organization Law. Article

(7): Duration of study in the College: A) The period of study to obtain a bachelor’s degree in specific education from one of the academic divisions in the college is four academic years, and the study is according to the semester system so that the student completes the study of eight semesters. B) The period of study in the special diploma in quality education from one of the specialized departments is two years. The first year is devoted to completing the deficiencies in preparation for the first university degree, according to what the college council sees and in light of the list of graduate studies in the college and the tables attached to this bylaw (according to the two semesters system. C) Duration of study for both master's and doctoral degrees, as stated in the executive regulations of the Universities Organization Law, and clarified by the attached tables. Article (8): Conditions for enrollment, study and examination at the bachelor’s level: A) In order for a student to be registered to obtain a bachelor’s degree in specific education from one of the academic divisions, in addition to the conditions stipulated in the Universities Law, the following are required: Success in the technical or musical aptitude tests that the college holds for students who have obtained a general secondary school diploma or its equivalent and who wish to join one of the two divisions (Art Education - Music Education) in the year of obtaining the qualification and the student’s success in the technical ability test which is held during the high school exam). The student must be free to study. The candidate for admission to the college must pass the fitness tests for the teaching profession, which the college holds in the same year of the nomination. The student must be medically fit in a manner that proves his validity (from the competent authority) in order to pursue studies and carry out teaching responsibilities after graduation. The Department of Home Economics accepts male and female students from the scientific department, the disciplined scientific department, and the mathematics department. It is permissible to accept students with a high school diploma from the Academy of Arts, on the condition that they obtain 75% of the total score for musical subjects, with an exemption from performing the musical aptitude test, so that the number of those who are admitted does not exceed 50% of the candidates for admission to the Division from the Coordination Office B) The college council determines, based on the proposal of the relevant department council, the scientific content of each academic course, and it is not permissible to amend this content before the passage of two years and after the approval of the college council in light of the scientific developments. C) In order for the student to enter the examination in any course, he must fulfill an attendance rate of not less than 75% of the number of study hours (theoretical, practical and applied). D) The college organizes practical training (field education) for students of the third and fourth divisions in all specialized sections in the schools of the Ministry of Education in the primary and secondary education stages in the governorate on the basis of one day per week as separate training, as it is held at the end of each semester and for a period of one week of continuous training. Today is counted as four teaching hours. C) The degree of the practical training course (field education) for each of the students of the third and fourth divisions is calculated according to a hundred marks distributed as follows: 60% field performance (20% school principal + 40% internal and external supervisor) 40%) Evaluation of the end of the year by a formation committee based on the suggestion of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences in the College
