Dr. Adel Mubarak, president of Menoufia University, said that The result of the China-based Shanghai Classification of specialties 2020 was declared , which showed the distinction of 17 universities on the soil of Egypt, including the University of Menoufia, in terms of the quantity and quality of research published in the best specialized journals worldwide.

The university president expressed his happiness with this result in this globally adopted classification, and the extent of development and excellence in the scientific publishing of university researchers in different disciplines, and wished for further progress and better positions in different disciplines.

The Shanghai rating has allocated different weights to the five indicators and criteria related to the various fields, which rely on the publication of research in globally indexed journals during 2014-2018 at the American Web of Science & Incites platform,the impact of the standardized citation, the proportion of citation for research published in an academic specialty during 2014-2018 to the average of the degree of research in the same category, is followed by international cooperation. This is the number of papers shared by at least two different countries in the titles of authors divided by the total number of research on the academic specialization of the University in 2014-2018, followed by the number of research published in the most important journals on the subject of academic specialization of the University in 2014-2018. Finally, the number of faculty members received an important prize in an academic subject.
