Meeting of the General Coordinator of Expatriates at Menoufia University with the academic advisors of incoming students at the Faculty of Medicine

Within the framework of the #Study_in_Egypt initiative, under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the directives of Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University, on the necessity and importance of caring for international students studying in the various faculties of the university, which is under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Al-Qased, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Nancy Asaad Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.. Dr. Salwa Fouad, the General Coordinator of Expatriate Administration at the university, met with Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs,

Dr. Ahmed Jaber, coordinator of the Immigrants Department at the college, Professor Rasha Badr, Director of Education Affairs and Director of Immigrants Department at the college, and a number of distinguished faculty members who are in charge of the academic guidance process to care for international students.

During the meeting, they discussed how to divide students into faculty members at the rate of one faculty member for every ten students, the role of the academic advisor with international students and his job duties, the importance of continuous communication with international students and holding periodic meetings for them and working to solve their problems, and continuous communication with the college administration to cooperate with them. To overcome all the obstacles facing the incoming student, follow up on the student’s participation in his academic choices, urge him to research scientific research, help stumbling students, and reward outstanding students.

For her part, Dr. Salwa Fouad stressed the need for international students to participate in various activities and develop their talents, and to have a student representative from each community for ease of communication with them, and to pay attention to the psychological, social and educational aspects of students. Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari stressed that the college is working to overcome all difficulties in front of international students, stressing that his office is open to them all the time to hear their problems and work to solve them and periodically follow up on the work of academic advisors.
