About the Department

Department of Community Health Nursing Menoufia University was established since the establishment of Higher Institute of Nursing in 1987, and this unit continued in practical and theoretical teaching in the field of Community Health Nursing.

Mission

Basic mission of the Community Health Nursing department is to promote high quality of Community Health Nursing through the integration of education, practice, research and service to improve the health of individuals, families, groups and communities through various educational levels.

Vision

Community health nursing department is able to produce professional nurses to be competing all over the country as well as internationally.

Objectives

1- Produce graduates and staff who competent in holistic care , utilize concepts, principles and scope of practice of community health nursing and use nursing care standards in planning nursing intervention to individuals, families, groups and communities including primary, secondary and tertiary levels of prevention considering environmental factors contributing to common health problems.

2- Utilize the concept of nursing research; for undergraduate, master and doctorate degrees for answering nursing problems for individuals, families, groups and communities.

3- Produce graduates who competent in utilizing the nursing process within the framework of community services in menoufia governorate to individuals, families, groups and communities.
