Synopsis:
Pharmacology is the science dealing with actions of drugs on the body (pharmacodynamics) and the fate of drugs in the body (pharmacokinetic).
Toxicology is traditionally defined as "the science of poisons". It is the study of the adverse effects of chemical, physical, or biological agents on living organisms including the prevention and amelioration of such side effects.
Pharmacology and toxicology department teaches the molecular mechanisms by which drugs and chemicals interact with biological systems. We also teach how drugs can cure or alleviate diseases, what side effects can result from their usage. In addition, we teach how toxicants can cause harm.
