detection, monitoring and characterisation of the living beings behaviour, artificial intelligence, pattern
recognition, development of novel signal and image processing techniques for the automated
processing of non-destructive testing data, image and video transmission over wireless channels,
mobile communications, security of wireless networks, information hiding and steganography,
encryption of speech signal, compression, radiography industrial applications, and radar imaging.

   ثانيا: مهام رئيس مجلس القسم:

1-   يشرف رئيس مجلس القسم على الشئون العلمية والادارية و المالية في القسم في حدود السياسه التي يرسمها مجلس الكليه

    ومجلس القسم وفقا لأحكام القوانين و اللوائح والقرارات المعمول بها .


2-   يقدم رئيس مجلس القسم - بعد العرض على مجلس القسم – تقريرا الي العميد في نهايه كل عام جامعي عن شؤن القسم العلمية

     والتعليمية والادارية والمالية , وذلك توطئه للعرض على مجلس الكليه او المعهد.


3-  في حالة تعدد التخصصات المختلفه في القسم , يكون أقدم الأساتذه في كل تخصص متميزا بكيان ذاتي داخل القسم نائبا لرئيس

       مجلس القسم في شئون هذا التخصص . و يتولى ادارة هذه الشئون تحت اشراف رئيس مجلس القسم و في حدود السياسه التي يرسمها

      مجلس الكليه و مجلس القسم , ويقوم بالتداول فيها مع باقي اعضاء هيئه التدريس في التخصص . وفي حال خلو التخصص من الأساتذه

     يقوم أقدم الاساتذه المساعدين فيه بأعمال نائب رئيس مجلس القسم لشئون هذا التخصص و تسري على نائب رئيس مجلس القسم أحكام

      التنحية المقرره في شأن رئيس مجلس القسم .


مجلس القسم واختصاصاته



أولا: تشكيل مجلس القسم:

1-  يتالف مجلس القسم من جميع الاساتذة والاساتذة المساعدين فى القسم ومن خمسة من المدرسين فيه على الاكثر يتناوبون العضوية فيما

  بينهم دوريا كل سنة بلاقدمية فى وظيفة مدرس، على الا يجاوز عدد المدرسين فى المجلس عدد باقى اعضاء هيئة التدريس فيه.


2-  لا يحضر اجتماعات مجلس القسم الا الاساتذة عند النظرفى شئون توظيف الاساتذة، والاساتذة  المساعدون عند النظر فى شئون توظيف

     الاساتذة المساعدين.


3-   لمجلس القسم ان يدعو الي اجتماعاته من يقوم بتدريس المواد الداخله في اختصاص القسم, على ان يشارك قي المناقشات دون ان يكون له صوت معدود.

ثانيا: اختصاصات مجلس القسم:

يختص مجلس القسم بالنظر في جميع الأعمال العلميه والدراسيه والاداريه والماليه المتعلقه بالقسم وبالأخص المسائل الاتية :


1.    رسم السياسه العامة للتعليم والبحث العلمي في القسم.


2.    وضع نظام العمل بالقسم والتنسيق بين مختلف التخصصات في القسم.


3.    تحديد المقرارات الدراسية التي يتولى تدريسها وتحديد محتواها العلمي.


4.    تحديد الكتب والمراجع في مواد القسم وتيسير حصول الطلاب عليها وتدعيم المكتبة بها.


5.    وضع وتنسيق خطة للبحوث وتوزيع الاشراف عليها.


6.    اقتراح تعيين اعضاء هيئه التدريس وندبهم ونقلهم واعارتهم وايفادهم في مهمات ومؤتمرات علميه وندوات او حلقات دراسية

      واقتراح الترخيص للأساتذه باجازات التفرغ العلمي.


7.    اقتراح توزيع الدروس والمحاضرات والتمرينات العلميه والانتداب من القسم واليه.


8.    اقتراح تعيين المدرسين المساعدين والمعيدين وندبهم ونقلهم وايفادهم في بعاثات او على منح اجنبيه واعطائهم الاجازات الدراسيه.


9.    اقتراح توزيع اعمال الامتحان وتشكيل لجانه فيما يخص القسم.


10.    اقتراح منح مكافآت التفرغ للدراسات العليا.


11.    اقتراح تعيين المشرفين على الرسائل و تشكيل لجان الحكم عليها ومنح درجات الماجيستير والدكتوراه.


12.    مناقشة التقرير السنوي لرئيس مجلس القسم وتقارير نوابه, ومناقشة نتائج الامتحان في مواد القسم وتوصيات 

         المؤتمرات العلميه للقسم والكليه او المعهد , وتقييم نظم الدراسه والامتحان والبحث العلمي في القسم ومراجعتها

        وتحديدها في ضوء كل ذلك وفي اطار التقدم العلمي والتعليمي و مطالب المجتمع وحاجاته المتطورة.


13.    متابعه تنفيذ السياسه العامه للتعليم والبحوث في القسم.
