Second call for paper and poster abstracts

    The Department of Geography, of the Faculty of Arts, Menoufia University, Egypt, shared by the Egyptian Geographical Group for Rural Development (EGGRD) of the Egyptian Geographical Society, welcomes you to the 29th Colloquium of the International Geographical Union Commission on the Sustainability of Rural Systems (IGU-CSRS). The Egyptian active participation in the annual scientific conferences and Colloquiums of the IGU-CSRS is recorded recently since 2013 in Kyoto-Japan, then in Bucharest- Romania (2014), Beijing- China (2016), Santiago de Compostela- Spain (2018), Minnesota- USA (​2019), and later in Zagreb- Croatia (2021). In December 2019, the Steering Committee of the IGU-CSRS has agreed on the holding the 29th Colloquium of the International Geographical Union Commission on the Sustainability of Rural Systems in Egypt concerning the following key theme: "Necessities and implementations for Sustaining Rural Systems in both Developed and less Developed Environments."

    We are pleased to host academics, scholars, researchers, and students interested in the wide scope of rural areas around the globe. The Colloquium seeks to provide an open international forum to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and challenge perspectives regarding potential paths for achieving rural sustainability in all regions of our planet.
