The University of Menoufia carried out the project of recycling electronic waste, under the auspices of Dr. Adel Al Sayed Mubarak, President of the University, and Dr. Nancy Youssef Asad, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs and General Supervision Dr. Mohammed  Gamil Shaheen, Director General of the General Department of Youth Welfare.

                                

Dr. Walid Hussein Talaat, Director of the Department of Mobile and Public Service, said that the project was carried out in cooperation with the Egyptian Youth Association for Development and Environment, headed by Dr. Mamdouh Rashwan, with the support of the small grants program at the Global Environment Facility under the supervision of Dr. Emad Adly, National Director, in the university hotel hall.

 

He pointed out that the project aims to shift from mere workshops and theoretical training courses to field work, and networking among different parties, through cooperation with a leading youth company in the field of recycling electrolytic waste, in the presence and participation of university youth.

 

The project is held in cooperation with UNESCO club and its university colleges as part of the presidential campaign "Prepare for Green", and is hosted by the University of Menoufia in its first edition.

 

The project involved 30 students from the university's youth leaders as a nucleus to form a student group concerned with the critical environmental issue, and the university is the first university to implement this program at the level of the 10 participating universities.
