National Liver Institute, Menoufia University Becomes the First Medical Institution in Egypt to Introduce the World's Latest Medical Simulation Technology for Physician Training

The National Liver Institute (NLI) at Menoufia University, under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Qassed, President of Menoufia University, has announced the introduction of the world's latest medical simulation technology for endoscopy training. With this achievement, the Institute becomes the first medical institution in Egypt to acquire this cutting-edge technology, which was launched globally in Germany last February. This milestone underscores the University's leadership in advancing healthcare services and medical education.

This strategic initiative draws inspiration from the simulation model that revolutionized the aviation industry by enhancing performance and minimizing risks. Through the adoption of this advanced simulator, the Institute aims to bring the same innovative approach to endoscopic and procedural training, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety. The technology provides physicians with an immersive, interactive learning environment where they can develop advanced technical skills without exposing patients to unnecessary risks during the learning process.

Prof. Osama Hegazy, Dean of the National Liver Institute, emphasized the strategic significance of this achievement, stating:

Prof. Ahmed Attia, Executive Director of the Institute Hospital, highlighted the added value of the simulator, saying:

This advanced system enables our young physicians to practice complex procedures in a completely safe environment, reducing the learning curve, shortening procedure times, and improving success rates.
