The study began in the College of Agriculture, in its current location in Shebin El Koum in October 1942 institute high- Agricultural , then the Royal Decree No. (92) in August 1950, the establishment of the University of Ibrahim Pasha, the Great, which included making the Higher Institute of Agricultural shebin Koum nucleus of the Faculty of Agriculture that the university , which changed its name in 1954 to the University of Ain ​​Shams, and in the same year, the college moved to Cairo.

         And the re- establishment of the Higher Institute Agricultural same building shebin Koum in 1958, affiliated to the Ministry of Education , and in 1969 turned Institute to another college of agriculture subsidiary of Ain ​​Shams University, then a subsidiary of Zagazig University in 1974 , then Tanta University in 1975 , and finally to Menoufia University in in 1976.

         The study was the college over its modern history for a period of four years ending obtaining a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences ( agricultural production year), so in 1980 , to enter the Specialized التشعيب system in 1978, 1979 in addition to the General Agricultural Division .

The study aims at Klahalzraah University Almonofiyah to produce generations of agricultural engineers a high degree of familiarity with specialized agricultural sciences and the use of modern technology assets in all sectors of agricultural production and plant and animal food processing and agricultural engineering and land reclamation . So that graduates can contribute effectively to the development of the national economy and solve the problems of the environment and community service
