According to the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during the Sixth National Youth Conference in July 2018, and in cooperation between the Supreme Council of Universities and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and under the auspices of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, a series of training and introductory workshops are being held on the Mawadda project to qualify those about to get married.
In the presence of Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, a meeting was held today, Thursday, February 27, with the university's news editors and social media page managers, in the presence of Prof. Amr Mausad Saber, supervisor of the university's electronic portal, and Mr. Ahmed Abbas, project representative and training coordinator.
Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari stressed the importance of the Mawadda project, as it aims to preserve the Egyptian family entity by supporting young people about to get married with the necessary knowledge and developing mechanisms for family support and guidance and resolving disputes, which contributes to reducing divorce rates.
Mr. Ahmed Abbas also pointed out that the project targets young people in the age group of 18 to 25 years to raise their awareness and support them with the knowledge and life skills necessary to form a family within the framework of understanding, constructive dialogue, mutual respect, full knowledge of the needs of the other party, distribution of roles within the family, and containing family problems and disputes. The Mawadda project also aims to raise health awareness for those about to get married by identifying the most important medical examinations that must be performed before and during marriage and identifying the most important health solutions for family planning.
