An awareness seminar titled "Bullying: Its Causes and Ways to Confront It" was held today, Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Faculty of Computers and Information at Menoufia University. The seminar was organized by the Faculty's Youth Care Department (Social Activities) under the supervision of: Ms. Nisreen Abdel Hadi, Director of the Department. The seminar was attended by Professor Dr. Hatem Mohamed Sayed Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty, who delivered an opening speech in which he emphasized the importance of spreading a culture of respect and tolerance among students. He emphasized that the Faculty not only focuses on academic and scientific aspects, but also pays great attention to the human and social aspects that contribute to building a student's character. His Excellency praised the role of awareness seminars in instilling positive values in students, explaining that the Faculty always strives to create a safe and stimulating learning environment. Professor Hamdi Moussa, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, also spoke, emphasizing the need for students to adhere to the college's internal regulations and respect the rules governing the educational process. He pointed out that inappropriate behavior, such as bullying, is inconsistent with the values and ethics of a university student. He called on students to demonstrate responsibility and discipline, as these are two essential pillars of achieving success and excellence. He also emphasized the importance of activating the role of academic guidance and continuous communication between students and faculty members. On the other hand, Dr. Hiam Moussa, a lecturer in the College's Information Technology Department, emphasized that confronting the phenomenon of bullying begins with raising awareness and providing psychological support to students who may be exposed to it. This fosters a healthy climate within the college and contributes to creating a conscious generation capable of facing societal challenges. The seminar was attended by a number of directors of various departments at the college, along with a group of college students.
