Under the patronage of: His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Qassad — President of Menoufia University Professor Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bary — Vice President for Education and Student Affairs Professor Dr. Sobhy Sharaf — Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development And under the supervision of: Professor Dr. Hatem Mohamed Sayed Ahmed — Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information The Faculty of Computers and Information organized an awareness seminar entitled: “Cyber Violence – Violence Against Women,” delivered by Professor Dr. Hatem Mohamed Sayed Ahmed — Dean of the Faculty, as part of the Faculty’s community and awareness role and its commitment to discussing issues affecting families and society. The seminar addressed the issue of violence against women comprehensively, with Professor Dr. Hatem Mohamed Sayed Ahmed discussing various forms of violence, including cyber violence via social media and violence in daily life, explaining the seriousness of these practices and their negative psychological and social effects on women and on the stability of society as a whole. His Excellency also reviewed women's legal and civil rights, emphasizing the protections and guarantees afforded to women by law. He also addressed the issue from a religious perspective, explaining the status of women in divine laws, the rejection by religion of all forms of violence and abuse, and the call for respect, justice, and the preservation of human dignity. This seminar is part of a series of activities organized by the Faculty of Computers and Information at Menoufia University, affirming its academic and community role in raising awareness, instilling ethical values, and promoting a culture of responsible technology use.
