The launch of the activities of the Environmental Week in a home economy in Menoufia
Today, the activities of the Environmental Cultural Week of the Faculty of Home Economics, Menoufia University, were launched
The events are sponsored by Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University, Dr. Abdel Rahman El-Bagouri, the university’s president’s advisor for community service and environmental development affairs, Dr. Sherif Sabry, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Siham Khedr, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and rapporteur of seminars.
 In the presence of college deputies, faculty members, the supporting staff, and a large number of college students.
The events target students and youth through a variety of activities, including seminars, lectures, caravans, and workshops to encourage environmental excellence.
Dr. Sherif Sabri indicated that the week aims to deepen environmental awareness among students and introduce them to the characteristics of the environment and the extent to which it is related to society and its impact on its development, in addition to directing students towards preserving the environment and contributing to protecting it from pollution, stressing that the environment sector is one of the most important sectors in the university, because of its An important role in raising awareness and education, hoping that the purpose of this week is to promote and advance ethics and behavior.
Pointing out that such activities are what drive participants from all categories of university affiliates to pay attention to the surrounding environment, explaining that the activities include the provision of community services that will advance the community, work to raise awareness of environmental risks, and activate positive practices and behaviors that serve the surrounding environment.
Dr. Siham Khader explained that the week includes organizing many events, workshops, and seminars in the environmental and awareness fields, in addition to organizing workshops, convoys and educational and awareness meetings.
The activities of the first day include several symposia, the first of which is a symposium on the cultivation of rooftops without soil, in which Dr. Sherif Attia is an assistant professor in the Department of Home and Institutions Management at the College.
And another entitled the application of industrial ecology in clothes made of jeans and its impact on the aesthetic and economic aspect of Dr. Shaima Mustafa, Dr. Noha Abda, assistant professor in the Department of Clothing and Textiles at the college, and a symposium entitled Wrong eating habits by Dr. Lamia Diab, a teacher in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science at the college, and a symposium entitled Ethics of dealing with Social networking sites between reality and hope for Dr. Reham Hajjaj, and a symposium entitled “Cyber-bullying”, its causes, types and methods of treatment, lectured by Dr. Ai Abu Salim.
