Dr. Osama Hegazy to National Liver Institute Security Personnel:
“You Are the First Line of Defense… A Safe Work Environment Is the Foundation of Our Success”

Professor Dr. Osama Hegazy, Dean of the National Liver Institute at Menoufia University, met with the institute’s administrative security personnel and supervisors to extend his congratulations on the upcoming Eid Al-Adha holiday and to review the institute’s maximum readiness plans for securing the medical facility during the holiday period. The meeting reflected the institute’s commitment to maintaining high-quality medical services with the utmost efficiency and discipline.

During the meeting, Dr. Osama Hegazy expressed his deep appreciation for the vital role played by security personnel in maintaining workplace discipline, protecting public property, and providing a safe and stable environment for medical teams and patients alike. He emphasized that they represent the institute’s first line of defense at all times and occasions.

Following the exchange of holiday greetings, the Dean held an expanded meeting with security supervisors to discuss the detailed operational plan and shift distribution during the Eid holiday, ensuring continuous vigilance and around-the-clock presence across all sectors of the institute, particularly in the emergency, reception, and intensive care units, which experience constant pressure during holidays.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Hegazy stressed the importance of immediate and ongoing coordination between the Administrative Security Operations Room, the institute’s management, and the on-duty medical and nursing teams to ensure rapid response to any challenges or emergencies that may arise during the holiday period. He also wished everyone continued success in carrying out their humanitarian and national responsibilities.

In this context, he stated:

“The National Liver Institute is a major medical institution serving thousands of patients from various governorates across Egypt. Work within this institution does not and will not stop during holidays. Our ethical and medical commitment requires us to remain fully prepared at all times. Today’s meeting with our colleagues in the security sector was intended to emphasize the importance of integrated roles within the institute. Doctors and nurses cannot effectively perform their mission without a safe and stable environment provided by vigilant and disciplined security personnel. We have also directed stricter monitoring at the gates and better organization of visitor entry and exit to ensure patients’ comfort and everyone’s safety. We pray that these blessed days return upon our beloved Egypt with الخير, prosperity, and blessings.”
