The Supreme Committee for Reviewing and Updating the Strategy of Menoufia University 2025/2030 begins its work today to achieve sustainable development, academic innovation, and keep pace with changes in the educational, technological, social, and economic environment according to Egypt's Vision 2030
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held the first meeting of the Committee for Reviewing and Updating the Strategy of Menoufia University 2025/2030, headed by him and with the membership of the former university presidents, including: Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim, Prof. Abbas Al-Hafnawi, Prof. Mohamed Ezz Al-Arab, Prof. Sobhi Ghoneim, and the Vice Presidents of the University, Prof. Sobhi Sharaf for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari for Education and Students, Prof. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary-General of the University, Prof. Mohamed Al-Noamani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Eng. Islam Al-Fishawy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sadat City, Prof. Wafaa Zahran, Director of the Quality Assurance Center.
The meeting was also attended by members of the Executive Committee for Reviewing and Updating the University's Strategic Plan: Souad Bayoumi, Head of the Central Administration of the University President's Office, Prof. Rania Azmy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Zeinab Abdel Khaleq, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Nora Abdel Moez, Professor at the Faculty of Computers and Information and Director of the International Classification Unit, Prof. Noha Othman, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Gamal Selim, Director of the Infrastructure and Information Security Department at the Center for Information Systems and Digital Transformation, Wael Shaheen, Director General of the Office of the Secretary-General of the University, and Ayman Badr, Director General of the General Administration of Strategic Planning. Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, began the meeting by thanking all members of the committee for their presence and keenness to participate in reviewing and updating the strategic plan of Menoufia University 2025/2030 in line with the changes that have occurred in the educational, technological, industrial and economic environment, which aims to achieve the goals of sustainable development according to the National Strategy for Higher Education and Egypt's Vision 2030, which focuses on three main dimensions: economic, social and environmental, while the National Strategy for Higher Education focuses on improving the quality of education, enhancing scientific research, linking education outcomes to the needs of the labor market, technological education and developing the technological infrastructure, stressing that updating the university's strategy in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Higher Education requires close cooperation between everyone to ensure that the educational institution remains able to adapt to rapid changes in the educational, technological, social and economic environment. The university president explained that the goal of updating the strategic plan is to achieve coherence and consistency between the plan and the university business environment, which must be in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 updated in 2022, the government's work program 2024/2027, the National Strategy for Higher Education 2030, the amended education quality and accreditation standards 2022, the Egypt Award for Excellence in Government and the formation of an efficient and effective administrative apparatus, in addition to the importance of developing a plan to exploit the land allocated for the university's expansions in Sadat City, which amounts to 200 acres, and 10 acres as an alternative to the Monk's Farm land, and the Medical City on an area of 5 acres and laying the foundation stone for the expansions of the Oncology Institute. One of the most important motivations for updating the strategic plan is the urgent need to develop the university's technological infrastructure and ensure the sustainability and development of its diverse resources, and complete the university's institutional expansions to provide all educational, research and health services in light of cognitive diversity and competitiveness, in addition to the importance of developing the university's administrative work system. Prof. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary-General of the University, reviewed the proposed stages of updating the strategic plan of Menoufia University 2025/2030, which includes important stages to ensure the continued success of the university in achieving its goals in light of internal and external changes, the most important of which are reviewing the empty plan and analyzing performance and key performance indicators to identify strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and challenges, and the stage of updating, reformulating and redefining the vision and mission to ensure that the current vision, mission and values are in line with future trends, and making amendments to the vision or mission if there are fundamental changes in the environment or goals of the university, then moving to the stage of developing the executive plan, presentation and discussion, then the stage of implementation, follow-up and evaluation. Prof. Ahmed El-Kased and the committee members discussed the new proposals for the university's vision and mission, the proposed general goals, strategic objectives and projects, about which the Secretary-General of the University presented a video presentation and explained in detail the strategic goals and objectives necessary to enhance academic excellence, promote social responsibility and environmental development, sustainability and development of the university's infrastructure, institutional expansion of the university in light of a diverse and competitive knowledge economy, and an advanced administrative work system, and the proposed initiatives and programs necessary to achieve these goals. At the end of the meeting, the university president thanked all attendees, noting that periodic meetings will be held in succession until the completion of the review and update of an integrated university strategy that is in line with the rapid changes in society and the world, and supports Egypt's Vision 2030 in achieving sustainable development and enhancing innovation and digital transformation.
