Reception ceremony for new students for the academic year 2023/2024

Today, Sunday, 10/1/2023, the Faculty of Computers and Information - Menoufia University, in cooperation with the For Egypt Family, organized a celebration to welcome new students for the academic year 2023/2024, in the presence of: - Prof. Dr. Hatem Mohamed Sayed Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information - Menoufia University Prof. Dr. Hamdi Moussa, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Mohi Hadhoud, former Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs Dr. Hiam Moussa, coordinator of the computing and bioinformatics program at the college Dr. Eman Moslehi, coordinator of the software engineering program at the college Mr. Lamia Abdel Rahman, General Director of the College Mr. Nisreen Abdel Hadi, Director of the Youth Welfare Department at the college Family of the Youth Welfare Department at the college (Mr. Asmaa Taha, Mr. Mohamed Meligy, Mr. Mustafa Al-Mihi) The College Students Union and a group of male and female college students. Mr. Prof. Dr. Hatem Mohamed Sayed Ahmed, Dean of the College, gave a speech in which he welcomed the new students and gave a comprehensive explanation about the college, its various departments, and its study system. He also pointed out the importance of the College of Computers and Information and its work to graduate and qualify a student capable of competing in the labor market. His Excellency stressed the need for students to adhere to university rules and attend according to academic schedules. His Excellency received some inquiries from students and responded to them. ... At the end of his speech, His Excellency wished his students good luck and success. Mr. Prof. Dr. Hamdi Mousa, the college’s dean for education and student affairs, gave a speech in which he welcomed the new students and gave a general introduction to the college and the importance of scientific progress in the field of computers and electronics in various fields. His Excellency stressed the importance of continuity in learning while studying in the field of specialization or after graduation and following the theory of self-learning by learning about what is new in the field of specialization. His Excellency stressed the necessity of reading the college’s internal regulations and having an academic advisor for each group of students to answer all questions and give them advice when choosing and registering courses. His Excellency also stressed a number of important points, which are: - It is necessary to attend lectures and write them down, along with writing notes and important points after each lecture to consolidate the information, which gives an opportunity to develop the spirit of discussion and dialogue between the student and the doctor during or after the lecture. - The importance of organizing time and how to benefit from it. - The role of the Education and Student Affairs Department and the IT Unit in serving students and solving all the problems facing students, whether paper or electronic, and that an announcement will be made on the electronic platform at the appropriate time to obtain academic courses. - Providing opportunities for students to participate in various student activities through the College’s Youth Welfare Department. His Excellency also discussed the idea of social solidarity and how the college administration helps and supports students during their studies. At the end of his speech, His Excellency recommended that the students demonstrate good morals, honesty, and sincerity in academic and practical life, wishing them success. Prof. Dr. Mohi Hadhoud, the former Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, gave a speech about the location of the College of Computers and Information among the colleges. His Excellency also explained that it is the ideal and correct choice because it is considered the next future in the field of work. His Excellency also stressed the necessity of attendance and interest in studying. They also did: Dr. Eman Moslehi, coordinator of the software engineering program at the college Dr. Hiam Moussa, coordinator of the computing and bioinformatics program at the college Welcoming new students and then providing a brief overview of the special programs available at the college in terms of their definition and the extent of benefit from them in the field of study and work after graduation. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mr. Prof. Dr. Hatem Mohamed Sayed Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information - Menoufia University, and Mr. Prof. Dr. Hamdy Moussa, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, inspected the art exhibition, which includes (various artistic artifacts, pencil drawings).
