Today, on the sidelines of the first international conference of the Department of Neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, Menoufia University, 4 scientific and technical workshops were held, under the patronage of Adel Mubarak, President of the University, Dr. Mahmoud Kora the dean of the College.

 

Hossam Al-Nomani, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at the College of Medicine and Head of the Conference, indicated that today 4 workshops were held, including a workshop on the latest surgeries of the cervical vertebrae from the back, in addition to a workshop on the use of cerebral catheters and smart cerebral catheters in the treatment of malformations of veins and arteries within The brain, in addition to two workshops on laparoscopic spine surgeries and endoscopic brain surgeries.

 

He explained that during the two-day conference, the latest types of spinal endoscopic surgeries will be presented, in addition to the uses of surgical endoscopy. Talking about the eradication of tumors of the base of the brain and the removal of tumors inside the ventricle of the brain

 

He added that the conference will be attended by the Indian Society of Neurosurgeons, the British Ministry of Health, the Egyptian Society of Neurosurgeons, and the Health Care Authority, and in the presence of a large number of professors and doctors of neurosurgery from Egyptian and international universities and the Ministry of Health

The conference will also witness the presentation of many advanced scientific researches in the field of neurosurgery in the world, and among the most prominent of these research papers is the uses of artificial intelligence within the spine operating rooms.
