Within the framework of Menoufia University’s preparations to compete in the competition for the best environmentally friendly university for the year 2023, which was launched by the Supreme Council of Universities under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the committee formed to prepare for the competition met today.
Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, and the supervision and presence of Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Amjad Emara, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Accountant Jalal Abdel Salam, Secretary General of the University, and a large number of college deputies and general managers And directors of research centers and faculty members at the university in order to develop work plans and discuss the preparations necessary to participate in the competition.
During the meeting, Dr. Rania Azmy, Deputy Director of the Quality Center at the University, gave a detailed presentation on the criteria and conditions of the competition, including standards for the principles of environmental preservation and sustainability, educational systems "learning and scientific research", university infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste and water management standards, and transportation standards within the university. and environmental quality, in addition to a plan for sustainability that complies with environmental laws and legislations, international agreements, crisis management standards and preparedness to deal with them, epidemics and disasters).
The meeting concluded with the formation of committees responsible for meeting the conditions and standards, and an emphasis on meeting periodically to follow up on what is being implemented.
