Menoufia University students get second and third place in the 24th Arab Creative Student Forum

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, students of Menoufia University participated in the 24th Arab Creative Student Forum under the title “The Role of Higher Education Institutions in Economic Development,” which was held at Sohar University in the Sultanate of Oman during the period from 11 to 15 November 2023 AD.

University students achieved advanced positions in the forum.

Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased stressed the keenness of Menoufia University to have university students participate in scientific and creative competitions.

The university president announced that the two students, Tasneem Abdulaziz Al-Qassas, at the College of Specific Education, won second place in the 24th Arab Creative Forum in the artistic creativity axis, and the student Khadija Mohsen Al-Sawy in the College of Agriculture won third place in the scientific creativity and innovation axis.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased explained that Menoufia University participated in 6 research papers in this forum, which is one of the activities of the Arab Council for Training and Student Creativity affiliated with the Association of Arab Universities.

El-Kased pointed out that student forums contribute to developing the capabilities and building the personality of students, with the purposeful and useful programs they contain that highlight talent, excellence and creativity in activities, research and innovation, in addition to being an opportunity to get to know and gain life and practical experiences and allow students to learn about different cultures.


The activities of the forum this year included 36 papers with the participation of 100 students, from 17 universities and 6 centers and institutes representing 8 Arab countries, namely the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Yemen, the State of Palestine, the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Morocco, the Republic of Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates. In addition to 16 arbitrators for student projects, who are professors from various Arab universities, the themes of student research and projects for this forum include four areas: scientific research for applied sciences, scientific research for the humanities, artistic and literary creativity, and modern trends in information technology.

Wael Khulusi, Director General of the Office of the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, added that the winning research was supervised by Dr. Mahmoud Hamed and Dr. Basma Mohieldin.
