project (Wasel ) for the graduates of Faculty of  Engineering at  Menouf , Menoufia University got  numerous awards and certificates of appreciation within the activities of  engineering Egyptian Day ,where  the project got first place in the competition of "Made in Egypt" as well as the  shield of  the first place from the Organization of IEEE and the Award of Excellence from the ITIDA body that affiliated to  the Ministry of communications as well as the project   get the a certificate of appreciation for choosing it as one of the 10 best projects in the Arab world are convertible to start-up companies by the American MIT Institute .

Dr. Atef Abul Azm, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and the acting president of the university added that the project includes 14 students of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering at Menuf from the  sections  of communications, control and energy based on the idea of ​​the transfer of information technology and solving the problems of Internet networks and transformer using technology WIMAX from good coverage  areas of lower quality.

 

He also pointed out that the project has been tested in practice for more than 6 months to connect the  administrative building of the university, with the electronic engineering  building at Menuf and transferring the internet  speed from the university building to the college at a rate of 60 MB and the project is based on the launch of a balloon filled with helium solar-powered is controlled via the Internet and remote control and will be subject to regular maintenance every 6 months to adjust the  proportion of gas.

the supervisor of the project also added that the Innovation Centre at the Ministry of Communications will embrace the project for a year to provide a suitable place for its practical implementation with the same research team, pointing  that the project will be useful for the oil companies in desert areas and new towns and the tourist compounds that fare away from the  networks point .
