On Earth Day: Moawad calls on university scientists for more scientific innovations to preserve our planet from environmental pollution

Dr. Meawad Al-Khouly, President of Menoufia University, said that the University cares about local and regional events , noting that the celebration of Earth Day is an important annual event to celebrate the environment of our planet and raise public awareness about pollution levels. and that we are in solidarity with world by the participation in that celebration which hold on April, 22  each year, with numerous conferences, activities and seminars throughout the year that discuss ways of preserving the environment from the consequences of various environmental pollutants.

Al-Khouly said that the World Earth Day Movement is a popular movement that has created some international support for the creation of an environmental protection agency called EPA. The movement has contributed to the adoption of the right to clean air law, the water quality improvement law, the endangered species law, And many other environmental laws.

In light of the celebration of the Earth Day, Dr. Moawad called on scientists and researchers of the university in various fields to further scientific and research innovations to combat and prevent the dangers of oil leakage, pollution of factories, power plants, sewage and toxic waste, preservation of roads and protection of human, plant, animal and fish resources from food pollution and minerals.
