In a successful 7-hour macroscopic surgery, a surgical team at the Department of Plastic Surgery and Burns at Menoufia University Hospitals under the auspices of Dr. Mouawad El-Khouly, President of the University and Dr. Ahmed Gamal, dean of the Faculty, succeeded in re-implantation of an amputated patient's finger after being injured by amputation while using a sharp knife. At the age of 50, and after the necessary medical tests, he was admitted to the operating room for urgent surgical operation of the surgical microscope, in which the bones, tendons, nerves and blood vessels were stabilized.

The surgical team included Dr. Ahmed Talab, Dr. Sharif Al-Qashti, Dr. Abdullah Al-Tamlawi, Dr. Amr Mahmoud, Anesthesiologist and Dr. Alaa Ayad
