Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Leadership Development Department of the General Administration of Student Welfare at Menoufia University participated in the launch of the activities of the Summit Forum for students with outstanding abilities in Egyptian universities and institutes, under the slogan “Creators with a difference 2 and below Supervised by Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare.


The forum included the role of student activities in shaping the awareness of students with outstanding abilities. Dr. Ihab Hassanein, President of the Arab Federation for Persons with Disabilities, and President of the African Paralympic Volleyball Federation, who is also a member of the International Paralympic Federation, gave a lecture.

During the lecture, he stressed that he is in front of champions who have willpower, explaining the activities in which students with superior abilities can participate, including the game of boccia for people with severe disabilities, saying, "There is nothing impossible and there is no despair in sports." He continued his talk about the role of student activities in developing students' personalities, as they help students reveal their inclinations, benefit from their abilities and instill in them original moral, social and spiritual values, and they also work to build the personality of the student, especially those with outstanding abilities.

The Leadership Development Institute at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research received the Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, and the head of the General Secretariat for the role and bodies of fatwas in the world, to discuss with Egyptian university students about moderation of religious discourse and combating abnormal behaviors, as part of the activities of the Summit for Students with Disabilities. In his speech, the Grand Mufti pointed out that the nature of Arab and Islamic societies tends towards religiosity, hence the religious discourse must enjoy moderation as one of the most important Islamic characteristics, as he mentioned the difference between moderation and extremism.

In his speech, he also stressed that the nature of Egyptians has a special pattern that depends on facing challenges, regardless of the difficulties and whatever obstacles you face, armed with religiosity and love of religion, whatever faith we adopt.


His Eminence, the Mufti, expressed his pride in being among these different capacities, and the institute continued to give various lectures and workshops. Tarek Desouky reported: Students with outstanding abilities participated in making a theatrical sketch of a miniature model of a lyrical and poetic operetta.


A special section for the puppet theater was held to promote the culture associated with moving puppets and to provide students with the opportunity to discover their skills in this field.


A lecture was also given on the national project to preserve the entity of the Egyptian family "Mawada", and a lecture was given on art as a soft power and its role in developing the creativity of people with outstanding capabilities. Workshops were held on developing creative skills for students.


At the end of the forum, certificates were distributed to the students and the supervisory board.


The Leadership Development Institute also organized a visit for students with outstanding capabilities to one of the national projects "The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization" to enhance awareness of the Egyptian heritage and civilization of Egypt, and to demonstrate the extent of the great achievement of an edifice that is unique to the Republic, which contributes to spreading knowledge of the capabilities of the homeland and strengthening belonging among young people, under supervision.
