Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, in charge of running the work of Menoufia National University, received Major General Ibrahim Abulimon, Governor of Menoufia, at the headquarters of Menoufia National University in Toukh-Tanbasha, in an inspection visit to the university and following up on its workflow in preparation for the reception of the new academic year, in the presence of Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs And the academic supervisor of Menoufia National University, Dr. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Accountant Jalal Abdel Salam, Secretary General of the University, and Professor Mohamed Moussa, Deputy Governor.
The President of the University expressed his happiness with this visit and presence in this distinguished educational edifice, which is a great achievement achieved in record time, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, the main supporter of the development of higher education and his directives to expand the establishment of private universities in order to provide greater opportunities for university education based on international partnerships. With internationally classified universities, as well as providing greater opportunities for inter-study programs in new private universities, keeping abreast of contemporary development in education programs at the international level, contributing to the development of new cities, and responding to the needs of the labor market away from the usual traditional disciplines.
The president of the university and the governor made an inspection tour of the university. The president of the university reviewed the colleges and programs that were opened this year in addition to the colleges in which the study began last year, as the studies will start at the bachelor’s and bachelor’s levels in the faculties of: Oral and Dental Surgery, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (the two programs of machine intelligence and data science), and applied health sciences technology (medical laboratory technology and radiology science technology and medical imaging programmes), physiotherapy, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, humanities and social sciences (specialized translation program and English language) in the next academic year 2023/2024, in addition to the construction program And smart city planning at the College of Engineering, and the Internet of Things and Big Data Analysis program at the College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence, which started since the last academic year.
Major General Ibrahim Abulimon, Governor of Menoufia, praised the volume of work at the Menoufia National University and the equipment that was made in the facilities, auditoriums, and laboratories, and the extent of students’ demand to join the university’s faculties, stressing the provision of all necessary support to complete the infrastructure equipment and meet the needs of the university that serves the people of the governorate and neighboring governorates and is a bright spot on the land of the governorate. It aims to raise the level of education in accordance with the strategy of the Egyptian state and achieve sustainable development
The visit included an inspection tour of the university's facilities, which are located on an area of about 18 acres and include two buildings for medical sciences, two buildings for engineering sciences, the main laboratories building, the administrative building, the theater hall, and the recreational area. Completion so far is 85%, and work is underway at all levels to complete all equipment.
