Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held the monthly session of the University Council in the presence of Council members, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, accountant Jalal Abdel Salam, Secretary-General of the University, and deans of colleges.
The President of the University began the session by offering congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to the Egyptian people, and to the people of the University on the occasion of the noble birth of the Prophet, may God bring it back to everyone with goodness, right, and blessings, and may God preserve Egypt, its people, and its leadership in prosperity, progress, and prosperity.
The university president reviewed the preparations to participate tomorrow in the ceremony honoring the first university graduates by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which will be held in Ismailia in a large ceremony, and an expanded meeting with the Supreme Council of Universities in appreciation of the role of higher education in developing the educational process, and to encourage, honor and celebrate outstanding students.
The Council, headed by El-Kased, thanked the Minister of Higher Education on the occasion of the issuance of the ministerial decision to begin studying at the bachelor’s level at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at Menoufia National University, starting from the first semester of the new academic year.
The University President stressed the completion of all necessary preparations to welcome the new academic year and the organization of introductory meetings for new students in each college. He directed the deans to conduct inspection tours of all facilities, auditoriums and laboratories to ensure their readiness to receive students, wishing a successful academic year for all students.
The university president thanked the emergency, forensic and toxicology departments for their efforts in following up on the food poisoning cases received by the university hospital emergency department last Monday, and checking on their health condition, as the emergency department received 92 injured people from the center and city of Menouf suffering from symptoms of food poisoning after eating meals in one of the hospitals. Restaurants, and the university hospitals were immediately raised to the highest state of readiness, providing the necessary medical care and monitoring their health conditions around the clock.
The President of the University praised the activities of the integrated medical convoy organized by the University to the cities of Nakhl and Al-Hasna in North Sinai Governorate, where medical examinations were expected for 1,500 patients in various medical specialties. This was done in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Second Field Army, the Resala Association for Charitable Works, and the North Sinai Governorate, directing Thanks to all the participants and supervisors of the convoy
El-Kased congratulated all the gentlemen who were promoted to the rank of Assistant Secretary-General, General Manager, and General Managers whose jobs were modified, with his sincere wishes for continued progress and success in their new positions.
The President of the University reviewed the most important events and activities that took place during the month, including: the opening of the introductory day activities for the clinical pharmacy program at Menoufia National University for new students, and the reception of Major General A. H. Majed Al-Bari, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Company for General Contracting and Supplies at the National Service Projects Agency, and Major General Mohsen Anwar. Leader of the company’s higher education sector to discuss ways of cooperation between the university, the company and the National Company for General Contracting and Supplies in the field of implementing national and university projects, and to participate in the ceremony honoring the students of Menoufia University who won the “Think and Leave Your Footprint” project at Al-Arabi Group of Companies, with the participation of Engineer Mohamed Al-Arabi, Head of Operations Group at Al-Arabi Group of Companies. In the presence of Dr. Abbas Al-Hafnawi, former president of the university, dean of electronic engineering, and dean of engineering, and participation in the Menoufia Engineers Syndicate’s celebration of Science Day and honoring master’s and doctorate holders among engineers and outstanding sons of engineers.
The University President discussed the agenda, where the Council approved the project to establish a unit for oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral tumors, congenital defects inside the mouth, and post-surgical rehabilitation at the Faculty of Dentistry. The Council approved the establishment of the training program to build awareness, which bears the logo of Egyptian university leaders, and which includes important topics such as awareness. Preserving Egyptian national security, art and its role in combating destructive and abnormal ideas, the charismatic leader, and the rules of protocol and ceremony. The Council also approved the regulations for the Office of International Relations.
The university president also presented topics in the sectors of graduate studies, research, education and student affairs.
Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, presented the sector’s topics and briefed on a report on the training program for social pioneers on reproductive health, a report on the integrated convoys for the month of August, the formation of the preparation committee for the Best Environmentally Friendly University competition, and the restructuring of the Environmental Excellence Competition Committee among colleges.
