Today, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received Dr. Magi Nassif, Executive Director of the US Fulbright Commission, to discuss ways of cooperation between the university and the Commission, which contributes to improving the quality of the educational system, developing the capabilities of researchers and university cadres, and preparing leaders.

In the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hazem Saleh, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Ghada Hassan, Executive Coordinator of the University’s International Relations Office.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased explained that the grants provided by the Fulbright Commission are a good opportunity for university faculty members and researchers in the university’s various colleges to participate in academic programs to enhance their administrative and organizational capabilities.

He added that the scholarships include a graduate study program for 6 master’s students, a program for conducting post-doctoral research, a program for conducting research and collecting scientific material for master’s and doctoral students at universities, and a program for preparing leaders and gaining professional experience.


Dr. Maggie Nassif added that the Authority offers a group of distinguished supportive programs that are fully funded financially and technically, in addition to being fully prepared to finance student training in new and updated journals according to the needs of the labor market, in addition to providing programs for graduate studies and post-doctoral research in academic and professional fields.

It is worth noting that, following this meeting, an introductory symposium will be held about the programs and grants provided by the Fulbright Commission, in the presence of the university president, deputies, college deans, and students from various university colleges, during which the study programs in the United States of America, the application dates for each program, and its conditions will be presented. , evaluation criteria, etc


The meeting was also attended by Dr. Hoda Soliman, Head of the English Department at the College of Arts, Dr. Marwa Nabil, meeting coordinator and member of the International Relations Office, Sarah Jalal in the Fulbright Office, and Iman Sami, representative of the Ministry of Higher Education.
