Today, the committee responsible for nominating applicants for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Menoufia University, was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of the University, and the membership of: Dr. Saqr Ahmed Saqr, former President of the University, Dr. Fathi Mustafa El-Sharkawy from Cairo University, Dr. El-Sayed El-Arabi Hassan from Ain Shams University, and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Halim Daraz is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Arts, Menoufia University.

The university president met with the applicants, stressing the importance of their solidarity and cooperation for the public good and to serve and develop the college, which is one of the university’s oldest colleges and includes a large number of specialized departments in the humanities, literary, and social sciences, wishing everyone success.

The committee listened to the presentation submitted by each applicant and his proposals to develop the college and discussed the proposed plan for each of them, so that the committee could choose the best candidates to fill this position.

The list of candidates included 11 applicants: Dr. Lotfi Kamal Azaz, Professor of Urbanism and Geographic Information Systems and Head of the Geography Department, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Hamza, Professor of Egyptian Antiquities and Civilization and Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Hassan Al-Sayyed Khattab, Professor of Islamic Studies, Arabic Language Department, Dr. Amr Abdel. Al-Ali Allam, Professor of Contemporary Hebrew and Israeli Studies and Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Maher Hamdi Muhammad, Professor of Political Geography, Department of Geography, Surveying, and Systems, Dr. Khaled Al-Sayyid Ziyada, Professor of Psychology, Dr. Ghada Muhammad Abdel-Qawi, Professor of Persian Linguistics, Dr. Musa Fathi Atlam, Professor, Department of Geography, Dr. Ola Abdel Moneim El-Zayat, Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology, Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed Fathallah, Professor of Literature and Criticism in the Department of Arabic Language, Dr. Abdel-Fattah El-Sayed Abdel-Fattah, Professor of Psychology.
