Menoufia University wins the silver medal in futsal in the Egyptian Universities League

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the Menoufia University futsal team achieved second place and the silver medal in the second stage of the futsal competitions in the Egyptian Universities Championship (Martyr Al-Rifai), which was held under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased praised the distinguished performance of the university team and the sportsmanship among the participating teams, stressing that student activities contribute to enhancing young people's confidence in themselves, their abilities and potentials, and urging them to exploit their energy and invest it in a positive way, in addition to refining their leadership and behavioral abilities and raising the spirit of honorable competition among them. The university president also congratulated the winning teams.
The final match witnessed the victory of Benha University over Menoufia University by four goals to two, to win. Benha University first place and the gold medal, Menoufia University second place, Tanta University third place and the bronze medal, and Kafr El-Sheikh University fourth place. The final match, which was held in the covered hall of Menoufia University, was attended by Dr. Mustafa Bayoumi, Assistant Minister of Higher Education for Student Life and Sustainable Development and Vice President of the Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities, and Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of Menoufia University for Education and Student Affairs, welcoming the university guests and praising the performance of the sports teams. For his part, Dr. Mustafa Bayoumi thanked Menoufia University for the wonderful organization of the tournament, praising the sportsmanship of the participating students. Menoufia University qualified for the second stage of the tournament after topping the group in the first stage. The results of the university's matches in the round of 16 resulted in Menoufia's victory over 6th of October University 0/3, beating Zagazig University in the round of 8 with a score of 3/5, and advancing to the final at the expense of Kafr El-Sheikh by winning on penalties 3/4. The university team was supervised by Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of Student Care, and Captain Yasser Gamal, Director of Sports Activities. The team was led in the tournament by a technical staff led by Captain Moataz Sadek, Head of Sports Activities, Captain Ayman Abdel Qawi, Technical Director, Captain Khaled Talaba, Team Supervisor, and Captain Hossam Salah, Team Administrator.
