Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and Major General Ibrahim Abuleimon, Governor of Menoufia, inspected the final preparations and equipment for the Technical Institute of Nursing building, as part of today's extensive inspection tour by the university president and the governor, which witnessed many activities to inspect various medical facilities, and concluded today with an inspection visit to the Technical Institute of Nursing to follow up on the final preparations for the building's equipment to receive students in the new academic year 2024/2025.
The university president stressed that the field of nursing is one of the most important specializations within universities in general, and it is a first-class humanitarian profession, and there are many nursing specializations that are studied in schools, institutes and colleges, and it is the basis and pillar of medical work, and it is in no way possible to dispense with the nursing specialization, which helps in providing services and health care to patients, so the university sought to complete all the necessary preparations to be able to receive students in the new academic year, and transfer students from the old institute building to the new building.
During the tour, the university president gave a detailed explanation of the executive position of the building, which was built on an area of 1,000 square meters, as a donation from Hajj Shaker Hamouda, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ahl Al-Khair Foundation in Manshiyat Sultan. The university undertook the construction and equipment, as the institute consists of 7 repeated floors, and includes 3 lecture halls, 10 laboratories, and training halls in various specializations. He stressed that the institute will transfer the village of Manshiyat Sultan to new dimensions of development and prosperity. The institute also aims to provide a distinguished educational service to graduate qualified and trained students to work in various nursing specializations, and capable of working in all specializations within medical institutions. The institute has also been supplied with the latest devices, equipment, teaching and training methods, and contributes effectively to bridging the deficit in nursing services in university hospitals and the Liver Institute. The governor praised this new scientific edifice, which represents a qualitative leap in the medical sector and a new revival of the nursing system, stressing that Menoufia University is an effective partner in all sustainable development works witnessed by the governorate and contributes to the implementation of many service projects of public benefit, in addition to its pioneering and vital role in serving and developing society.
The President of Menoufia University and officials of the Nursing Institute thanked the Governor of Menoufia for his efforts in developing and supporting the health sector, to improve the services provided to citizens in light of the political leadership's directives to provide a decent life for all citizens.
The inspection tour was attended by Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ikrami Gamal, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Amal Shehata, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and a large group of village residents.
