Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held the monthly meeting of the University Council in the presence of Dr. Vice Presidents of the University, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf for Community Service and Environmental Development and Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari for Education and Students, Dr. Ikrami Gamal, Secretary-General of the University and Deans of Faculties.

The President of the University began the meeting by congratulating Dr. Ikrami Gamal Al-Sayed, Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Commerce, on the occasion of the issuance of the decision to assign him to carry out the work of Secretary-General of Menoufia University for a period of 6 months or until the completion of the procedures for appointing a Secretary-General of the University, praising his efforts since the announcement of the decision.
Congratulations to the deans of the faculties who were issued a decision to renew their assignment to carry out the work of the deanship of the college, namely: Dr. Ahmed Saber Al-Fayoumi for Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Haitham Maimoun Abbas for Pharmacy, Dr. Osama Abdel Raouf Abdel Rahman for Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Nadia Abdel Nabi Al-Qadi for Media, Dr. Hassan Ali Aliwa for Science, Dr. Muhammad Ali Wahdan for Trade, Dr. Hani Tawfiq Al-Gamal for Applied Health Sciences Technology.

He also congratulated the deans of the faculties who were issued a decision to assign them to carry out the work of the deanship of the college, namely: Dr. Ihab Ahmed Al-Naasan as Dean of Home Economics, Dr. Khaled Ahmed for Arts, Dr. Enas Saeed Al-Shtaihi for Early Childhood Education.
And special congratulations to Dr. Muhammad Kamal Masrajah, a lecturer in the Department of Orthopedics at the Faculty of Medicine, on the occasion of winning the State Encouragement Award for the year 2023.
El-Kased expressed his happiness about the university's progress in the global rankings according to the Shanghai Chinese General Classification for the year 2024, as Menoufia University was ranked among the best universities in the world in 4 specializations, including "communications engineering, engineering sciences, energy and mathematics, and pharmaceutical sciences", congratulating all the sons and employees of the university on this achievement. The university president praised the Faculty of Pharmacy on the occasion of its qualification among the top 10 faculties at the university level for the Egypt Award for Government Excellence (the Distinguished Institutions Award, Government Colleges category), stressing that the Faculty of Pharmacy is one of the distinguished faculties, which contributed to its qualification to the stage of the top 10 faculties at the level of Egyptian universities for the Egypt Award for Government Excellence for the field visits stage, among 326 faculties nominated for the Distinguished Institution Award, Government Colleges category, adding that the faculty has the capabilities and cadres necessary to achieve a distinguished level in the award and the criteria and objectives of the award, while creating a qualitative shift in institutional performance and human capacity development. The university president also praised the victory of the university's Enactus team on the occasion of winning first place in the Sustainable Development Competition presented by the German Federation for International Cooperation in cooperation with "Enactus Egypt GIZ", which was launched by the Fund for the Care of Innovators and Geniuses in cooperation with the "Enactus International" organization with the aim of supporting student initiatives aimed at solving societal challenges. The team won a project aimed at preserving fruits from waste in export stations through smart labels technology. The team also won first place in the Juhayna Sustainability Competition with the idea of ​​a project to convert banana waste into sustainable products to benefit from them in the best ways to promote sustainable development goals and spread awareness in society. The university president stressed that students in various faculties are able to compete in all competitions, whether at the level of Egyptian universities or at the global level, and achieve the best results. This was clearly demonstrated by the victory of the team of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering participating in the "Robocon IDC" competition for the year 2024 held in India, winning first and third places in the competition at the level of 10 countries. The team of the Faculty of Engineering participating in the activities of the fifth "EVER" electric car rally competition held in New Alamein City also won on the occasion of winning first place in business, second place in design, and first place for a special prize presented by Appraid Company. The competition is organized by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the United Media Services Company, in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Al-Qassid announced that he witnessed yesterday the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the Supreme Council of University Hospitals and the Banque Misr Foundation, which was signed by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, and Professor Mohamed El-Etreby, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Misr and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Egyptian Banks, noting that an amount of 26 million pounds was allocated from the total amount provided by the bank to develop the Liver Institute Hospital, praising the National Liver Institute and the development it is witnessing at all levels, including the start of operating the positron emission tomography (PET/CT) atomic scanning device in the Radiology Department of the National Liver Institute, which is considered one of the most powerful atomic scanning devices in Egypt. The university president discussed the agenda and the council approved the results of the Best Restaurant Competition for the academic year 2023/2024, organized by the University's Food Quality Control Department, which resulted in the winning of the Agricultural City Restaurant and the New Students City Restaurant in Shebin El-Kom in first place, and the Menoufia Students City came in second place in the university cities sector, while in university hospitals, the Liver Institute Restaurant won first place, and the University Hospital Restaurant came in second place, and approved the disbursement of the financial reward allocated to each center. The two vice presidents of the university presented the topics of each sector and discussed any new work.
