President of Menoufia University holds a meeting of the Graduate Studies Council online

Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the meeting of the Graduate Studies Council with the participation of deans and vice deans of colleges for graduate studies and members of the online committee and the attendance of Soad Bayoumi, Head of the Central Administration of the University President's Office and Doaa Fahmy, Director General of Cultural Relations.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased congratulated the members of the committee, university staff and the Islamic nation on the approaching anniversary of the birth of the Prophet.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased indicated that the Graduate Studies Committee discussed the progress of the university and colleges' plan in the field of scientific research and graduate studies during the coming period, stressing the need to overcome the obstacles facing researchers and graduate students and solve the problems of those who are struggling.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased added that the session addressed topics related to the work of the General Administration of Graduate Studies and Cultural Relations, and the committee approved the minutes of the previous session and briefed on the follow-up of the decisions that were implemented. During the meeting, the annual and semi-annual reports of some graduate students registered for master's and doctoral degrees for the previous and current academic year were briefed, in addition to briefing on the scientific reports submitted by members of scientific missions and scientific reports submitted by faculty members at the university about their attendance at conferences inside and outside the university at Egyptian, Arab and foreign universities. The university president stressed the importance of scientific research and international publishing, noting that 143 scientific research papers were registered for faculty members in the colleges, including 19 individual research papers and 124 joint research papers during the month of August. The committee also reviewed the proposed areas of the university's awards for excellence and honor "encouragement - excellence - appreciation - scientific authorship and translation - best scientific thesis for the year 2025" and the Dr. Mustafa Bahjat Abdel Muttal Award. The envoy directed the necessity of making a permanent inventory of the number of postgraduate students and everything related to their academic data and removing any obstacles they face immediately, and alerting postgraduate students to the necessity of obtaining a certificate of digital transformation basics before exams to prevent delays in issuing grant decisions, in addition to the necessity of informing new students applying for registration for the academic year 2024/2025 of the legal period for obtaining the academic degree as well as the number of years of extension and suspension.
