Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Scientific Research Account Unit online via electronic platforms with the participation of committee members.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the anniversary of the glorious October victory.

During the meeting, the university president stressed the need to follow up on the implementation of research plans in the university's faculties to confront the various challenges facing Egyptian society in the economic, social, health and environmental fields, and to activate the role of scientific research in confronting the problems of industry and society and the state's development plans.

El-Kased also directed the faculties to increase the number of applied research projects that have an actual applied return to serve the research process and students at the university, and to provide an attractive environment for scientific research within the faculties and enhance the culture of scientific research.

El-Kased indicated that the committee agreed to refund the tuition fees paid by some members of the auxiliary body registered to obtain scientific degrees and registered for master's and doctoral degrees outside the university.

The committee also approved the minutes of the previous session and discussed any new business.
