President of Menoufia University witnesses the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Medicine and the University's Oncology Institute in the fields of research, treatment and diagnosis

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Medicine and the Oncology Institute at Menoufia University, which aims to provide distinguished and high-quality service from an advanced scientific perspective to cancer patients in the governorate and neighboring governorates and improve the performance of health services provided to them, in addition to enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of scientific research, operation and training programs of common interest between the two parties.

The protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Al-Naamani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and Dr. Hossam Al-Fall, Acting Dean of the Oncology Institute, in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ikrami Gamal, Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Susan Al-Hassanein, Deputy of the Oncology Institute, Dr. Mohamed Sabry, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Sabry, Deputy Executive Director, and Counselor Omar Turki, Legal Advisor to the President of the University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, explained that the terms of the signed protocol stipulate providing the necessary human resources for operation from various medical specialties and providing training and continuing medical education for the institute's employees and health service providers, in a way that ensures the provision of distinguished services to patients and raises the level of performance, and enhances cooperation in the field of scientific research and treatment of university employees, explaining that the protocol also stipulates that the two parties exchange all logistical services between them according to the capabilities and capacities of each of them to fully benefit from those capabilities to enhance each other to achieve the strategic goals of Menoufia University and achieve the goals of Egypt's 2030 plan.

"Al-Qassed" pointed out that in the field of scientific and research cooperation, the protocol stipulates that the two parties facilitate the procedures for registering and working on master's and doctoral students' theses and scientific research.

El-Kased also stressed that quality should be a way of life in work at the university and university hospitals, pointing out the need to develop an integrated plan for development and provide permanent support to the distinguished, and to establish good systems to reduce errors and give opportunities to innovators through a clear system, indicating that Egypt is proceeding on a steady path and keeping pace with the developments in providing health services in the world.

The university president pointed out that university hospitals provide about 70% of the health services provided to patients in the governorate, especially advanced and accurate health services, stressing that university hospitals are seeking to obtain accreditation, in preparation for entering the comprehensive health insurance system to improve the health services provided to patients.
