Menoufia University organized, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, the first training forum for entrepreneurship under the supervision of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, and Dr. Farid Wagdy, Director of the Center for Technological Research and Development at the University, and in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al-Halfawy, Director General of Entrepreneurship at the General Authority for Investment, Walaa Mohi El-Din, Director of the Nile Center for Media in Menoufia, in cooperation with the General Authority for Investment and the Project Development Agency in Menoufia.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased stressed that the university always seeks, through its various centers, to provide the necessary training and qualification for its students and is keen to achieve cooperation through partnership with various institutions and bodies and work to empower youth to establish projects based on the outputs of scientific research and encourage students to establish small projects, investment and entrepreneurship and transform innovative research ideas into projects that contribute to achieving the goals of the New Beginning Initiative for Human Development, the state's directions and Egypt's Vision 2030.
Dr. Sobhi Sharaf welcomed the attendees, thanking the General Authority for Investment, the Enterprise Development Agency, and the Nile Center for their cooperation with the university in investing in innovative research and ideas and transforming them into profitable investment projects and models. He pointed out that the university is keen to coordinate with all parties to provide the appropriate environment for students to attend events, meetings, and forums that are concerned with spreading the culture and concept of entrepreneurship and introducing students to it. He added that the training forum addressed ideas for entrepreneurship projects and green projects, how to create a business and transform an idea into a project, the difference between small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurial projects (Startups), the characteristics of an entrepreneur, how to conduct a feasibility study and its economic, legal, marketing, social, technical, and environmental types, the steps of the feasibility study, and its importance in the success of the project. Dr. Farid Wagdy, Director of the Center for Research and Technological Development at the University, explained that this forum comes within the framework of the university's interest in developing applied research and projects, and that the forum included several lectures on the role of entrepreneurship in developing applied research conducted by distinguished trainers from the Investment Authority, in addition to presenting applied research from students of the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing and Engineering.
The training forum was attended by Mohamed Bakkar and Rania Marzouk from the work team at the Fekretak Sherketak Center, in the presence of faculty members, assistant staff, male and female students of the university and members of the university's administrative staff.
Dr. Sobhi Sharaf inaugurated the exhibition of innovative projects for students of the Faculties of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Applied Health Sciences Technology, and Engineering, where the exhibition includes 8 innovative projects that can be implemented, manufactured and marketed.
A number of distinguished students in the field of entrepreneurship were also honored.
